Roundtable topic
Hyper local vs super global and their paths to finance and distribution.
Ready, Steady, Pitch! topic
Looking for primarily returnable dramas, selective comedies, and prestige limited miniseries - across a wide range of genres but not wanting to be standing in otherwise crowded corners - needs to be universal and not parochial - and we get more interested earlier on when there's any strong combination of: recognisable IP, known writer-creator, lead director of note, and/or cast attached that moves the needles - and thereafter always good to have the interest if not involvement of a broadcaster and if not an organisation with funding such as Screen Australia or Screen Queensland for example.
