Leona Connell is a British media professional with a strong experience in sales, acquisitions and co-productions of content and rights. Having worked in international distribution for a number of companies including IMG, Parthenon, Sky and NBCU, Leona joined Newen Connect as EVP Distribution in December 2020. Newen Connect is the distribution company of Newen Studios, a leading European production group owned by French commercial broadcaster TF1 and comprising over 30 production labels across 8 territories. Leona’s role includes leading the sales division and working closely with Newen Studios’ producers and third party producers to help fund projects and maximize revenue from the international marketplace.
