Screen Producers Australia (SPA) today announced another in-person international guest set to attend SCREEN FOREVER 38 from 19-21 March on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The accomplished producer, writer, and president of US-based production company Paper Planes Productions will sit down with one of Australia’s most prolific film and TV journalists to discuss international partnerships, the creative development process, and his passion for Australian stories.
Alon Aranya is known for developing international formats into successful scripted TV drama series across multiple territories. Alon sources and collaborates with the best and brightest producers, writers, and broadcasters in countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Israel, and the US.
His credits include Apple TV+ series Tehran, which won the International Emmy for Best Drama Series in 2022 and can boast Golden Globe winners Glenn Close (Fatal Attraction) and Hugh Laurie (House) as cast members, and Your Honor, a Showtime limited series starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad).
During his inaugural SCREEN FOREVER conference, Alon will sit down In-Conversation with Australian TV, film, and screen sector authority Karl Quinn discussing how he has negotiated deals and delivered successful projects for some of the world’s biggest platforms and networks. Alon will share his unique approach to discovering, growing, and leveraging a global network of creatives to keep pace in a highly competitive and demanding industry.
With his productions receiving international acclaim, Alon will share his thoughts on the importance of the development process, his relationship with Australian producers and the abundant opportunities within screen sector down under.

Alon will join other international guests, including Head Gear Films Founder and CEO Phil Hunt, Red Arrow Studios International’s Vice President of Scripted Acquisitions and Co-Productions Rodrigo Herrera Ibarguengoytia, and FIFTH SEASON’s Associate Director of Acquisitions Ava Mustos.
