Screen Producers Australia (SPA) is pleased to announce Lana Greenhalgh, Head of Scripted Originals at Foxtel Group, as the deserving recipient of the Commissioner of the Year Award at the 23rd Annual SPA Awards.
The highly anticipated Awards ceremony will take place at The Star Gold Coast on Thursday, 8 May 2025, the final night of SCREEN FOREVER 39.
Lana began working with Foxtel in 2015 after leaving a career in the talent management industry to pursue her passion for television drama. She began as Scripted Production Coordinator, working across Foxtel’s scripted production and development slate, including Wentworth, A Place To Call Home, Picnic At Hanging Rock, Australia Day, Secret City: Under the Eagle, Lambs of God, The End and Upright.
Lana was promoted to Head of Scripted Originals for the Foxtel Group in 2023, where she works on the procurement, development, and production of all Foxtel Group scripted commissions. She overseen production as Executive Producer on the first BINGE Original series, Love Me Season 1 and 2, and Season 2 of the critically acclaimed Foxtel Series Upright, as well as working across critically acclaimed Foxtel Group Originals, Strife Season 1 and 2, The Twelve Season 1 and 2, Colin From Accounts Season 1 and 2, The Last Anniversary, Mix Tape and High Country.

The Commissioner of the Year Award acknowledges and celebrates an Australian commissioner whose accomplishments over a recent period demonstrate outstanding success in creativity, leadership, and inclusive thinking. The award recognises the Australian commissioner’s strong ability to collaborate with the independent screen production sector to support high-quality productions that resonate with both domestic and international audiences.
The SPA Awards celebrate great Australian screen productions, honouring the skill, accomplishment and imagination of the SPA member businesses who bring these stories to life. All Award recipients will be honoured at the prestigious SPA Awards ceremony on the Gold Coast on Thursday, 8 May 2025, the final day of SCREEN FOREVER 39.
