Biography
Thomas Phillips (he/him) is an award-winning Australian writer, director and producer, and the founder of We Made A Thing Studios, where he develops bold, high-concept stories across film, television and games.
He most recently produced the animated comedy Lesbian Space Princess (2025), which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival (Panorama) where it won the Teddy Award, and later received the AACTA Award for Best Indie Film.
In 2019, he wrote and produced the online series Lucy and DiC, which has amassed over 4 million views across YouTube and Facebook, won multiple awards, and was nominated for Best Online Series at the Screen Producers Australia Awards. He was named one of Screen Producers Australia’s Ones to Watch in 2018.
He is also the creative director and producer of Box Knight, a chaotic, irreverent action-roguelike launching in 2025.
