Biography
Phil has created numerous television comedies, including cult classics Review With Myles Barlow and A Moody Christmas (ABC), ratings hits At Home With Julia (ABC) and Here Come The Habibs! (Nine), and most recently the comedic mystery-thriller Population 11 (Stan), starring Ben Feldman.

As an actor he’s perhaps best known for playing Myles Barlow in Review, and most recently appeared in Good Cop/Bad Cop, starring Leighton Meester on Stan and The CW/Roku, and Sunny Nights, starring Will Forte and Darcy Carden on Stan and Hulu.

Phil has written for CBS, Sony, Fox and FX in the US, and both Review (Comedy Central) and The Moodys (Fox) were successfully adapted for the US market.

Phil’s feature film screenplay, Holy Molé, starring Tim Roth, is currently in pre- production in LA. Phil has received several Logie nominations, won multiple AWGIE, AACTA and Equity Ensemble Awards, and in 2022 he and Trent O’Donnell were awarded the Fred Parsons Award for Outstanding Contribution to Australian Comedy.

Phil is a partner in Jungle Entertainment (Mr. In-Between, Wakefield, No Activity), where he creates original content both comedy and drama, whilst serving as Executive Producer across production and development.
