Biography
Hermann Vorster represents the electorate of Burleigh in the Queensland Legislative Assembly and serves as the Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs and International Student Attraction in the Crisafulli Government. His priorities are protecting the lifestyle of the southern Gold Coast which underpins its social, community and economic success.
Prior to his election, Hermann represented Division 11 on the Council of the City of Gold Coast chairing the Lifestyle and Community Committee, and serving on the committees responsible for transport, infrastructure, and planning.
He was a founding committee member of Gold Coast District Neighbourhood Watch Incorporated and served on the regional policy board for Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland.
Hermann pursued the International Baccalaureate at high school and was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship to complete degrees in Commerce and Information Systems. He is also Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and continues to champion the cause of small and family businesses.
