DESCRIPTION:We are always interested in projects that deal with themes arou
nd decolonization and are cinematically engaging\, whether for film or TV.
Stories about Indigenous communities\, immigrant and diaspora communities
\, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities are a priority\, but we are open to all
stories that bring a radical point of view to society and aim to build emp
athy for underrepresented communities. We are primarily genre-agnostic\, c
reator-driven\, premium-focused\, and open to adapting intellectual proper
ty. We are currently interested in finding an Australian co-producer and b
roadcaster for our Canadian-Australian co-production series\, which is cur
rently entitled 'FLIPPED.' FLIPPED is a comedy series about a 20-something
Filipino-Australian man and his mother who discover that they are both qu
eer and decide to reinvent themselves by living together in Banff\, Canada
\, on a working holiday. The series is based on the UTS Backstage play 'TH
OUGHT YOU'D NEVER ASK' by Dr. Elaine Laforteza\, who has a PhD in Cultural
Studies and is an Equity & Diversity Project Officer at the University of
Technology Sydney. We are also interested in finding an Australian co-pro
ducer for our Tamil-language ensemble horror film\, 'THE DEVIL'S TEARS.' T
he film follows the story of a Tamil village in Sri Lanka after the civil
war\, plagued by blood-red rain that zombifies the villagers into their da
rkest selves. The film encompasses themes of post-war trauma\, the lies an
d secrets that arise in wartime\, and around the community and how it can
take a village to raise the next generation.
