Justine Flynn / Writer & Director
Justine Flynn is a writer, director, producer and author based in Sydney. Her most recent role was as showrunner on the series she created and produced with Aquarius films The Unlisted for ABC and Netflix. Justine was also part of the directing team that brought this series to life. Throughout her career Justine has worked in the independent sector and as a broadcaster. Justine was the manager of factual development at ABC and Executive producer/director of long form content for Nickelodeon. Justine’s previous credits include writer for Heiress Films Accord Documentary From Korea With Love and senior production and creative roles on a series of award winning productions for Nickelodeon.
Justine formed part of the creative development team behind Blue Water High and was the co-creator of Bambaloo for the Jim Henson Company and Yoram Gross. Justine also co-produced the preschool series Five Minutes More for ABC and Disney UK, produced Hotspell for Heiress Films and SBS television and was the live action director for the animated series Dirtgirl World for Mememe Productions which aired on the BBC, ABC and CBC. Justine produced the live action sitcom series Me and My Monsters with Sticky Pictures, Tiger Aspect and Jim Henson Productions for CBBC, ZDF and Network 10. She co-created, developed and executive produced Bindi’s Bootcamp.
Justine enjoys directing and has been lucky enough to direct such series as the original Dirtgirl World and The Justine Clarke Show. Justine published her first bookMiss Mae’s Saturday with Random house and recently has co-authored three books based on her series The Unlisted for Hachette. Collaborating with great partners and creating fresh film and TV content for both children’s and adult audiences is Justine’s focus.
