Screen Producers Australia (SPA) and TikTok are thrilled to launch the ‘Got a Minute?’ pitching competition for the upcoming SCREEN FOREVER conference (16-18 February 2021).
Designed to help Australian storytellers share their unique voices and stories with the world via the exciting format of short-form mobile video content, ‘Got a Minute?’ calls for participants to submit a pilot for a high quality 10 x 1 minute series that shows that engaging stories can be told in a minute. Three finalists will be flown to the Gold Coast to pitch their series to a panel of industry experts in a mainstage session on the second day of SCREEN FOREVER (17 February 2021), where the winner will be chosen.
The winner will take home $15,000 in funding from TikTok to boost the production of their series, two project development sessions with Lee Naimo, Senior Investment Manager at Screen Australia, and a TikTok content strategy mentorship. In addition, two runners up will receive $5,000 each in production investment from TikTok along with a TikTok content strategy mentorship.

Partnering with SPA for ‘Got a Minute’ is a way for us to invest in this creative community”.

- TikTok merchandise; and
- flights, accommodation and per diem to attend SCREEN FOREVER.
Submissions for ‘Got a Minute?’ are now open and close 8 February 2021. Finalists will be notified by 12 February 2021.
Competition entries must be submitted directly using the method outlined in the T&Cs, as well as uploaded to TikTok using the hashtags #SCREENFOREVER #gotaminute.
