Noel works closely with the eOne development and production divisions around the world, as well as third party independent producers, to acquire television product for distribution to all media outlets across scripted and non-scripted. Based in London, he sources and secures premium scripted and non-scripted programming at the earliest stages to complement the studio’s growing portfolio of world-class content. Before joining eOne, Hedges served as EVP, Content at DRG, where he developed and oversaw the company’s content strategy, bolstering their scripted catalogue and finding new opportunities to grow the business in a highly competitive market. Prior to that, Hedges held key senior roles at Shine International and ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
Once you’ve handed over you TV series to eOne, how do they actually get it in front of buyers and distribute it all over the globe, and when does the Producer start to see a financial reward?
Ready, Steady, Pitch! topic
From Australia, eOne is looking to maintain and grow its slate of quality and premium scripted and non-scripted content from producers to offer to our international clients. This will mean finding truly editorially and creatively impactful titles from great creatives and ideally attached to strong broadcasters or platforms. Whilst we are not too prescriptive in terms of genre, we are looking for titles that will engage as broad an audience as possible in as many territories as possible, and will be noisy on the crowded international market. We can look at titles at an early stage but prefer them to be somewhat developed, ideally to script, and from there we can engage on the commercial opportunity and the creative impact of the title.
