Paul Wiegard co-founded Madman Entertainment, a leading independent film distribution and rights management company with offices in Melbourne, Auckland & Berlin. Films represented by Madman in 2025 / 2026 include SENTIMENTAL VALUE, NUREMBERG, MR. NOBODY AGAINST PUTIN, PIKE RIVER, IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT and NO OTHER CHOICE. Madman is also founding partner in film development fund CCM (Curzon, Cineart, Madman) which has several films in current production. Paul has executive produced 45+ feature and documentary films. Established DocPlay, a dedicated documentary streaming VOD platform. Currently, Board Member of Australian Centre of The Moving Image (ACMI), Screenrights, Co-Chair of Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC ) and was President – Australian Independent Distributors Association (AIDA) for 10 years.
