Jessica Ellis is the Head of Content Sales and Distribution where she is responsible for taking the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s screen content, services, and brands to the global marketplace.
With over 20 years of experience, Jessica Ellis is an accomplished senior manager within Australia’s TV and digital media landscape with a proven track record of strategic business development, global TV distribution and content acquisition success.
During her 14 years at the ABC, Jess has secured and negotiated major domestic and international partnerships including Netflix, Stan, BBC, Hulu, Apple, Google and Amazon. In recent years she has overseen the commercial partnership with international kids mega-brand The Wiggles and introduced an investment model for Australian projects that not only supports the local industry through funding but aids content partners in effectively preparing their shows for the international market. This model has attracted major territory sales for productions such as the kids action-adventure series Itch (S1 & S2) in the UK and USA.
