Clare Sladden is part of a new breed of emerging show-runners in Australia—creators with original, authorial voices and the skills to take projects from idea, through development, all the way to market—while maintaining both a clear creative vision and a focus on audience.

Clare wrote, directed and produced her three short films (each of which have screened at Academy-accredited festivals). She wrote, directed and produced her award-winning web series, ‘Freudian Slip’ (nominated for an AWGIE and with over 250K views on Youtube). Clare wrote, directed and produced ‘Winding Road’, an Audible Original narrative podcast that stars Yael Stone and Dacre Montgomery (Broken Head Productions & Loveology Films, 2020)—which she is now developing into a television series. And Clare is also show-running 'The Lead', a half-hour comedy/drama series in development with Stan.

Operating under her company, Broken Head Productions, Clare has multiple projects in development with Danielle Redford, of Loveology Films. Clare’s slate includes film, television and audio projects—all imbued with a clear creative vision and an achievable, strategic path to market. With her ability to both see the big picture, and execute her vision on the page, Clare creates high concept, thematically resonant stories.
