Biography
Yi Qiao joined ZDF Studios, the commercial arm of German public broadcaster ZDF, as Director of Drama in 2020. There, she is responsible for sales and acquisitions of scripted projects across North America, UK+EIRE, Australia / New Zealand, and Scandinavia.

Her remit covers identifying and developing scripted projects at early stage for co-production and co-financing opportunities as well as initiating pre-sale conversations and sales of finished content into these markets.

TELEVISION

We are looking for projects from development to financing stage. Preferred to have an anchor broadcaster already attached but not a necessity. Stories do not need a German character or angle for it to be of interest for us.

We do not seek for projects in the genre of pure comedy, period, or anything particularly in genre (sci-fi, horror etc).

Diversity is key for us no matter if it's in regard to storyline, talent in front and behind the camera etc.
