Producer and writer Alon Aranya develops, finances and produces original international drama series around the world through his company Paper Plane Productions. He is currently collaborating with producers, writers and broadcasters in several countries outside the US including Australia, Israel, Ireland, Germany, Italy, France, Holland, India, Poland and Canada.

Currently, Paper Plane has four shows on the air: TEHRAN which launched on Apple TV+ in September 2020 as the platform’s first non-English language series and won the International Emmy for Best Drama Series in 2022; YOUR HONOR for Showtime (based on Israeli format Kvodo), starring Bryan Cranston; BESTSELLER BOY, an original Dutch dramedy with CBS Studios International and the Dutch NPO; and THE VANISHING TRIANGLE, an original Irish crime-noir series with Virgin Ireland, Sundance / AMC and SBS.

Alon’s past shows include RED WIDOW (based on the Dutch format Penoza) and BETRAYAL (based on the Dutch format Overspel) for ABC, and HOSTAGES (based on the Israeli format Bnei Aruba), which he also co-wrote, for CBS.
