Lingo Pictures was launched in 2015 by Helen Bowden and Jason Stephens, two of Australia’s most prolific and highly awarded drama producers. Over the last two years, Lingo has released nine television shows, the most recent being Erotic Stories for SBS, After the Party for TVNZ/ABC and Prosper for Stan. In 2022, ITV Studios acquired a majority share in Lingo Pictures.
We are seeking partnerships with producers who have exciting IP, but would like the support of a more experienced production company, along with access to the best platforms. We produce exclusively television, mostly drama and comedy, but are genre agnostic if the project is strong. We also regularly employ independent producers on our various shows.

Biography
Tess joined Lingo Pictures in 2016, leaving a job in factual at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Initially, as Lingo’s Development Manager, she worked across Wake in Fright, Lambs of God, On the Ropes, Upright and The Secrets She Keeps. For the latter three brands, Tess was part of the producing team, most recently the Co-Producer on The Secrets She Keeps S2.
In 2020, Tess was promoted to General Manager, overseeing the running of the company, whilst continuing to work across Lingo’s development and production slate. Tess takes a leading role in the financing of shows and manages the company’s business affairs.
