Biography
Founder of content distribution company Pivot Pictures, Louisa has over 25 years experience in the movie industry. She established her career early on working in cinema exhibition before transitioning to film distribution, heading up sales for Hopscotch Films, and distributing films such as Academy Award winners Pan’s Labyrinth and Downfall. In 2008 she transitioned into the digital arena to eventually become ANZ Senior Vice President of Digital for global distribution giant Entertainment One. During this time, her business portfolio expanded to include both film and TV content, managing the release of hundreds of titles including key global TV franchises Peppa Pig, Peaky Blinders and the record breaking The Walking Dead series, as well as Oscar winning features Spotlight, Green Book and La La Land and commercial franchises Now You See Me and the Divergent Series.

Since it’s launch in 2019, Pivot Pictures has been established as a key independent distributor in Australia and NZ with an impressive slate of acclaimed films from around the globe. Highlights include the award winning drama It Is In Us All starring Cosmo Jarvis, the critically acclaimed award winning German WWII drama The Conference, Scandi foodie romance A Taste of Hunger starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, murder mystery comedy Murder Party, Johnny Depp produced Crock of Gold, A Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan, the critically acclaimed The Killing of Two Lovers and The Integrity of Joseph Chambers from director Robert Machoian. On the local front, Pivot Pictures have onboarded numerous productions which include AACTA nominated scripted features The Big Dog, Unsound and Darklands; the unassumingly delightful rom-com Love You Like That, and thriller Sweet River which was picked up as a Netflix Original and debuted in the platform’s top 10.

2024 releases include the delightfully dark coming-of-age comedy Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person from Venice Film Festival award winning director Adriene Louis-Seize; the animated Australian/Irish co-production family feature My Freaky Family featuring Evanna Lynch (Harry Potter Film Series), Miranda Otto, Richard Roxburgh and Ardal O’Hanlan (Father Ted); as well as local documentaries, Sharko from director Luke Graham and Growing Happiness from director Neil McGregor.
