Biography
Over 20 years’ experience in film distribution. Co-Founder and Managing Director of Kismet Movies.

Jason started his career in 2001 with Dendy Films selling independent and foreign language films to cinemas across Australia. He represented distinct filmmaking voices from around the world including Alfonso Cuarón, Lynne Ramsay and Walter Salles.

In 2008, he took the position of Head of Theatrical Sales for Hopscotch Films, managing a diverse slate of films which included the Australian hit, THE SAPPHIRES, and award-winning titles such as THE WRESTLER, RUST AND BONE and THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT.

In 2011, Hopscotch was acquired by Entertainment One. Jason became a member of the acquisition team and transitioned to managing the theatrical sales of broad releases, which included THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN, LA LA LAND and 2019 Best Picture Oscar Winner, GREEN BOOK.

In 2020, Jason Co-Founded Kismet Movies with long-time colleague, Troy Lum.

Kismet is committed to releasing a wide range of compelling and entertaining content. Releases include the Australian comedy WOG BOYS FOREVER, documentary SHACKLETON: THE GREATEST STORY OF SURVIVAL, Oscar nominee AFTERSUN, and NZ box office hit UPROAR.
