Biography
Melissa Lintott has been a part of the Acquisitions Team at DCD Rights for just over a year and sits across both drama and factual acquisitions alongside Pilar Perez Roel (Head of Acquisitions) and Iona Hopper (Acquisitions Manager).

Melissa and the team work with producers and partners to discover and develop programming that has international appeal. Recent dramas include multiple seasons of The Secret She Keeps, Love Me, My Life is Murder and Hidden Assets, alongside the current production of Thou Shalt Not Steal. Melissa and the team are keen to assess exciting new projects at various stages of development, finance and production in both the scripted and non-scripted space.

Prior to joining DCD Rights, Melissa graduated from The London School of Economics and Political Science with a degree in Politics and worked at the film sales, finance and production company Protagonist Pictures.

SCRIPTED TV | UNSCRIPTED TV

We’re open to being pitched both drama and factual programming at various stages of development, financing, and production. At the top of our shopping list in the scripted space are returnable crime series driven by unforgettable characters (think Hidden Assets and Classified). Thrillers always float our boat (see The Secrets She Keeps and Vanishing Act) and we love dramas with a lot of heart (think crime-with-a-smile My Life is Murder or family drama Love Me).

In factual, we always have an appetite for high stakes character-led blue-light / hard jobs / workplace reality (see Emergency: First Time Medics and Aussie Gold Hunters). True crime and unsolved mysteries always work well for us too. We’d like cookery and travel programming with ‘familiar faces in unfamiliar places’ (think Prue Leith: My Cotswolds Kitchen and James Martin’s Spanish Adventure), as well as history with new discoveries (see Treasures with Bettany Hughes).
