Biography
Catherine Kelleher is a screenwriter, filmmaker and development executive.

She spent her formative years as electronic pop artist Catcall, releasing her debut album, The Warmest Place, which came out in 2012 via Ivy League Records. In 2013, Catherine moved into film and television, working as a producer’s assistant, then regularly as a script coordinator and writers’ room notetaker. In 2016, her debut short film Big Bad World (starring Geraldine Viswanathan) screened at several local and international film festivals including Brooklyn Film Festival and St Kilda Film Festival. Catherine’s drama pilot was a finalist in the 2017 ATX Festival pitch competition, a top 10 finalist in the 2019 Final Draft Big Break competition and was selected for the 2020 Imagine Impact Australia program. In 2023 Catherine’s second short film, IMOAN, screened at Outfest LA, SXSW Sydney, Brisbane International Film Festival, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Mardi Gras Film Festival and was recently nominated for an Australian Writers’ Guild AWGIE Award.

Catherine has been working as the development executive for SBS Scripted since early 2021. She previously worked as a development coordinator at Lingo Pictures supported by the Screen Australia Enterprise Program.
