Co-founder of production company ArtSpear, Joe Bauer has a strong voice for comedy and a distinctive style that comes across in all of his work. He is the director, writer, sole animator and male voice actor for viral animated YouTube series Toon Sandwich (1 billion views and 3.6 million subscribers on ArtSpear’s channel).

Currently, Joe is directing and animating ArtSpear’s Clay, a hybrid live action/animated short film he also wrote, supported by the inaugural Screen Queensland Short Film Fund.

Joe wrote, directed and starred in true crime mockumentary series UnTrue Crime, a recipient of Screen Australia and YouTube's Skip Ahead initiative and has written/directed two half-hour episodic series, The Void and The Void: Rebooted, released on 31 Digital broadcast and YouTube respectively.

His two comedy feature films The Killage and Australiens were both internationally distributed and have won multiple awards around the world.

Joe is also an illustrator of 6 children’s books — the popular Eric Vale and Derek Dale trilogies — which have been published in multiple countries.
