Working with some of the biggest names in film and television, Steve Boyle has built a reputation for world-class standards in Special FX Production within the industry. His love for filmmaking started when he was a boy, obsessing over horror classics like Dracula and wanting to discover how to make the creatures he adored on the big screen.

Handpicked by Richard Taylor of Weta Workshop, Steve headed up the Special Makeup department as Supervisor to an incredible team for five years. Now with over 30 years in Special FX and a few awards under his belt, Steve's passion has driven him to build the creative team at Formation Effects and Formation Pictures.

His credits as a Designer include: The Portable Door, Love and Monsters, Daybreakers, BAIT 3D, Mental, Predestination, Jungle and Winchester to name just a few. Having worked on the largest FX productions around Australia and globally, Steve's ability to craft iconic visual characters with expert ease is second to none. He is known for his quick creative solutions, honouring the concept, a coffee addiction and going above and beyond every time.

Steve wrote and directed two short films Mullet Gut and Avulsion. Both premiered at ScreamFest LA and have travelled the world, winning awards internationally. As well as writing, producing, and directing the soon to be released film The Demon Disorder.
