Biography
Brooke Collard is a proud Ballardong/Whadjuk Noongar woman. She began studying Screen Production and Sound at Murdoch University, to graduate in 2017. During her time there she volunteered on productions such as SWEET AND SOUR TV (2016) and COLOSOUL (2017). Even after graduating, volunteering on SPIRIT OF HAPPINESS (2018) as a 3rd AD, CINEFESTOZ (2018) as an Indigenous Coordinator Intern, and SINGLE LADIES (2019) as an Art Department Assistant.

Beginning in Art Department, Brooke has also worked on the children series ITCH (2019). SBS short film MOLLY AND CARA (2019). ELEVATE short film SPARKLES (2019). Brooke has also been a Writer’s Assistant for Oscar nominated writer, Tony McNamara on his series THE GREAT (2019). And as an Extra’s Casting Assistant on THE FURNACE (2019).

Then moving on to the Production side with a Production Coordinator Attachment on FAMILY RULES (2019). Previously working with Taryne Laffar as a Production Assistant on OUR LAW and her company, PINK PEPPER PRODUCTIONS. Later volunteering as a Creative Producer on NOONGAR MEDIA (2019-2020).

Brooke currently has many other stories she is bursting to tell, such as ABORIGINAL WARRIOR, commissioned by NITV as a part of OUR STORIES. ABORIGINAL WARRIOR has been accepted to festivals such as ST KILDA FESTIVAL, BIRRARANGGA and IMAGINENATIVE.

Brooke is a Writer/Producer who wants to help tell stories for those under-represented, such as stories of First Nations people and LGBTQIA+. With a major focus on telling stories that encourage others and help with healing.
