Michael Ebeid AM brings to the Chair role a wealth of expertise, drawing from his distinguished three-decade career spanning the media, technology, and telecommunications sectors. He has held prominent leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SBS, as well as Group Executive at Telstra.

In recognition of his significant contributions to broadcast media, innovation, and multicultural affairs, Michael was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2017. That same year, he was honoured as CEO of the Year by CEO Magazine. In 2018, the University of Western Sydney awarded him an honorary doctorate for his outstanding services to the media industry.

Michael currently serves as a non-executive director of the Sydney Opera House and BAI Communications and is a strategic advisor to the KPMG National Board.
