Biography
Christina Fon is a Peabody award winning and Emmy-nominated executive and the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Scripted Content at Shaftesbury, an award-winning creator and producer of premium television content. With over 27 years of experience in the global entertainment industry, Christina has built a stellar career marked by visionary leadership, groundbreaking productions, and deep international partnerships.

Previously, Christina served as Executive Producer on the acclaimed original series Little Bird (Crave/APTN/Fremantle), now airing on PBS. She has played a key role in bringing impactful stories to screen, including Mohawk Girls (streaming on NBCUniversal’s Peacock), RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked the World (Netflix), and Reel Injun, now featured in the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Christina is of Hungarian-Jewish heritage and the daughter of Holocaust survivors. Her unique background informs her passion for storytelling that resonates across cultures and borders.

Christina’s work has earned prestigious honors including a Peabody Award, a Sundance Award, multiple Canadian Screen Awards, and a 2020 Emmy nomination. She is known for her ability to source compelling IP, secure investment partnerships, maintain trusted stakeholder relationships, and close successful international deals.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with major broadcasters and distributors such as Fremantle, Netflix, NBCUniversal, ARTE, PBS, Bell Media/CRAVE, CBC, Radio-Canada, and APTN.

Beyond film and television, Christina is also a pioneer in the gaming world. She is the co-founder of Minority Media (now Meta4 Interactive), the studio behind Papo & Yo, an award-winning game that helped define the genre of “empathy games.” Meta4 Interactive continues to innovate through immersive Virtual Reality experiences.
