Sal Balharrie is writer / documentary director and producer. While Sal's documentaries fall under the banner of NAKED EMPEROR, Sal creates scripted drama as part of a collective - GODDESS PICTURES. Her most recently produced project, the critically acclaimed, feature documentary LIKE MY BROTHER, premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival 2024 before an Australian cinemas release and international festival run. Sal is currently writing an animated tv series for women HOT HOUSE TIGER MAMA developed with Hoodlum/Hooligan Animation; working on her next doco feature WHY PUSH IT? exploring the competitive mind set of elite female athletes. Sal also has has a novel and screen adaption set for release in 2025, IN EXCHANGE FOR A LION - think Adolescence meets Big Little Lies. It is for this project Sal aims to find interested partners at Screen Forever 2025.
