Marcus Gillezeau is the Head of Production and Development at Studiocanal ANZ and Cultivator Films Australia, where he plays a pivotal role in promoting Australian and New Zealand talent and stories. With a strong focus on selecting high-quality, commercially viable projects that connect with audiences, Marcus is also an executive producer on KANGAROO, Studiocanal's first Australian production.

Known for his expertise across film, TV, and digital media, Marcus has executive produced a range of prestigious projects, including NERVE, which was featured at the Sydney and Shanghai Film Festivals, the International Emmy® Award-winning TV drama SCORCHED, and the AACTA Award-winning STORM SURFERS 3D. His other credits include the feature documentaries OWN THE SKY, LIVING UNIVERSE, and MOTORKITE DREAMING. Prior to joining Studiocanal, Marcus worked as an independent producer, collaborating with renowned Australian production companies and international networks, such as ZDF, Discovery, Nine, ABC TV, and SBS TV.

A former councillor for Screen Producers Australia, Marcus has also held board roles with TV Sydney and Metro Screen. He is the author of two influential screen industry publications under the HANDS ON title. Marcus holds Masters degrees in Screen Arts Business from AFTRS and Media Arts Production from UTS, combining academic knowledge with extensive industry experience to shape the future of screen production.
