Rebecca is a Scripted Commissioning Editor at the ABC with a career spanning 30 years in Television.

She is a highly experienced Scripted Television Executive with a proven track record of developing and overseeing the production of quality, award-winning and high-rating Drama and Comedy for Australian audiences. Throughout her career Rebecca has worked in development, production and postproduction across commercial television, Hollywood films, live broadcasts, soaps, and exceptional scripted content.

She has executive produced many award-winning dramas and comedies for the ABC including Mystery Road, Austin, The Letdown, Savage River, The Messenger, In Limbo, Aftertaste and the upcoming 2025 drama The Family Next Door. Rebecca is a champion of quality Australian content that not only entertains but has something to say. She has been fortunate enough to work with some of the best talent in the industry helping create Australian stories for contemporary audiences.

SCRIPTED TELEVISION

We are seeking crime dramas with a distinctive hook—whether gripping thrillers (Bay of Fires), mysteries (Savage River), or the cosier side of crime (Return to Paradise). We also look for character-driven dramas exploring human complexity (The Newsreader, Total Control, Plum) and high-stakes, culturally resonant narratives (The Slap, After the Party).

Comedy is central to ABC’s identity, and we seek series that are returnable (Fisk, Utopia), boundary-pushing, or full of heart (Please Like Me, In Limbo). We also remain committed to landmark true Australian stories (Fires, Stateless).
