Biography
Lark Lee is a Korean migrant mum, writer, director and producer who loves entertaining audiences with captivating stories and visually appealing films.
Lark received the SBS/SPA Practitioner Program Sponsorship as an early career producer, allowing her to attend SPA master classes and Screen Forever in 2025. Her drama web series, ‘Little Korea’, received development funds through Digital Original Initiative 2023 by SBS, NITV and Screen Australia.
Lark wrote, directed and produced two seasons of the heart-warming short documentary web series, ‘Mother’s Table,’ covering inter-generational Asian family stories behind the restaurants in Brisbane for the BrisAsia Festival (2022 – 2023) hosted by the Brisbane City Council. Season one streamed on SBS on Demand.
Her latest short film ‘Street No. 4’, was awarded a development fund by the Queensland Government, Logan City Council and Australia Korea Foundation in 2021. It has been selected at multiple Academy Award-qualifying festivals, including St. Kilda Film Festival 2023. It has also won various awards at other international festivals. The short film was distributed on ALTER, a YouTube horror film channel with over 3.3 million subscribers.
Lark looks forward to telling inspiring human stories, especially about women, mothers, and migrants, that would positively impact and entertain global audiences.
