Sam is a producer, writer and director, currently working with Samson Films and Blackfisch on an Australian co-production, Romance Is Dead. He is producing several shows in development with Tri Moon films and recently produced, Northern Lights, with Deadpan Pictures, Potemkino and Lionsgate for TG4 in Ireland and ZDF in Germany. While completing the post-production on Northern Lights he was Head of Development for Deadpan. Before this, Sam was the Drama Development Executive for Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ and was across their development and production slate where he developed a broad range of projects for RTÉ1 and RTÉ2 and established and nurtured relationships with a variety of production companies and the wider industry while also working on shows such as Smother, Hidden Assets, North Sea Connection. He was the executive producer on RTÉ’s three Storyland projects in partnership with Screen Ireland. Sam was the script producer for RTÉ’s, Fair City, for four years where he also directed multiple blocks of episodes for the show. He has been the inhouse story editor for the animation company, JAM Media. and has executive produced three award winning short films. Before coming to Ireland in 2014, he worked in Australia, predominantly for Network 7 on, Home and Away, for thirteen years as a scriptwriter, script-editor, storyliner, director and actor. He is a dual passport holder and is passionate about developing Australian and Irish stories.
