Barbara Stephen GAICD, President of Flying Bark Productions, has over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry. She manages the studio's creative and business operations across its three locations and has been essential to Flying Bark's growth and success. Barbara oversees the development, financing, and production of award-winning independent productions and premium production of full-service programs for major studios.

Recent productions include prime time series What If…? (Marvel), Marvel’s Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur (Disney TVA) and Shaun Tan’s Tales from Outer Suburbia, which premiered at Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2025. The company is currently working on the highly anticipated Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85 series (Netflix), and an animated Ghostbusters series (Sony/Netflix) as well as The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender feature film (Paramount).

Her leadership has earned her the NSW Women in International Business Award in 2016 and 2024, and the company has won multiple Emmy, Annie, Kidscreen, innovation and creative excellence awards. Barbara serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the UTS School of Communications and is also a member of the NSW Department of Education Creative Animation and Digital Reference Group. She has recently joined the Women in Animation (WIA) Board and previously served as the Screen Producers Australia’s Vice President and Counsellor.
