Jonathon is a Managing Partner at Screen Well, blending a 25-year history of hands-on production experience - primarily as a director and producer - with high-level organisational and industry consulting.

Beginning his career as an actor, Jonathon has gone onto produce and direct hundreds of screen projects spanning documentary, television drama, commercial and social impact projects. This has resulted in a deep understanding of the unique realities and pressures of creative projects, as well as their direct impact on individuals and teams.

Informed by this lived experience and backed by an Executive MBA, Jonathon’s work at Screen Well is focused on improving workplace practices to benefit both the people and the projects. To this end, he has led several major initiatives, including the Leadership Matters report in partnership with the University of Melbourne, the job-sharing pilot and report Breaking Down the Barriers to Job-Sharing, as well as Screen Well’s flagship psychosocial safety online course. Most recently, Jonathon led the co-design of the sector's national Mental Health Action Plan, involving over 100 stakeholders - to be released in May 2026. He also regularly facilitates industry workshops and advises productions on leading workplace practices.
