That’s a wrap, SCREEN FOREVER 2021! What an exhilarating, inspiring and energising three days. As Principal Partner, the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland congratulates Screen Producers Australia on a conference that ignited important conversations, connected filmmakers across the globe, and fired the imaginations of hundreds of screen creatives in Australia and beyond. It gave me particular pride to see so many Queensland screen practitioners represented, on panels and leading discussions, shaping debates and talking with such passion about what we all love – storytelling for the screen. I was especially invigorated by discussions around diversity on screen, and evidence of a positive momentum for transformation driven by change-makers and audiences who want to watch stories about the full range of human experience. Overall, SCREEN FOREVER confirmed how fortunate we are to work in the Australian screen industry, surrounded by such talent and creativity, at a time when the opportunities and the demand are seemingly boundless. Well done Matt, Glenn, Owen, Georgia and everyone at SPA. Screen Queensland looks forward to welcoming you all to the Gold Coast in November!
