Description
Screen producers and screen entrepreneurs around Australia are increasingly diversifying their business models and revenue streams in response to a fragmenting marketplace, increased global competition, the decline of the feature film market, technological change and emerging opportunities, growing demand for short online content and regulatory changes to the content quotas.
Outside of capital cities in particular, screen entrepreneurs are building screen businesses that break down silos between different formats, embrace new technologies, and in some cases, offer a 360 range of services to manage risk and develop multiple revenue streams.
This session will present the top-line findings of a national study of screen businesses in non-capital cities and regional Australia before turning to a panel of producers who will share their experiences of diversifying business models.
