Julia Redwood co-founded Prospero Productions in Fremantle, Western Australia, in 1991. In 2021, she became the company’s sole owner and Managing Director. With over 30 years in the industry, producing nearly 400 hours of factual television, including global hits Outback Truckers, Outback Opal Hunters, Martin Clunes – Islands of Australia and Red Dirt Road Trip, Julia Is regarded as one of Australia’s leading screen practitioners. Heading Western Australia’s biggest and most successful production company, she has become a well renown figure in the local business community, recently acknowledged by being awarded the 2021 Western Australian of the Year - Business Award.

Julia currently sits on Screen Producers of Australia (SPA) Board as an advisor and is Chair of Screen Voice, an association for Australian-owned, independent producers. This, coupled with her extensive creative talents and many years of experience in the marketplace, makes Julia one of the leading figures in the Australian film industry.
