Biography
Amanda is an Australian Producer who has worked in the content industry for over 25 years across television, documentary, feature film, and interactive media on a range of platforms.
Recently she served as Co-Producer on the Netflix US, Sony Pictures and iGeneration Studios young adult series, My Life with The Walter Boys, based on the award-winning Wattpad novel of the same name by Ali Novak. The 10 x 45-minute series stars Nikki Rodriguez, Sarah Rafferty, Marc Blucas and Noah LaLonde.
Amanda Executive Produced the feature film Devil’s Peak based on the novel Where All Light Tends to Go by David Joy and starring Billy Bob Thornton, Robin Wright, Hopper Penn and Emma Booth. Directed by Ben Young, the film recently received the Western Australian Screen Culture Award for Outstanding Achievement, Directing; Amanda was also an Executive Producer on AACTA Nominated RAMS, a re-imaging of the award-winning Icelandic film Hrutar starring Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, Michael Caton and Wayne Blair.
Amanda was the Showrunner for twenty episodes of the globally successful ABC ME children’s series ITCH which received nominations from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts, Screen Producers of Australia and TV BlackBox Awards. Amanda also Executive Produced 52 episodes of the BBC children’s animation series Dog Loves Books. She is passionate about children’s content and is a current board member of the Western Australian state children’s theatre company, Barking Gecko.
Amanda Executive Produced and Produced First Nations Writer/Director, Karla Hart’s young adult supernatural film Wirnitj that was nominated for a Screen Producers of Australia Award, and she is currently producing Karla’s documentary feature Forever Fifteen and Executive Producing her film Moodjar with Rush Films. Other documentary work includes producing the series The Art of Ian Strange for the ABC and Rebuild It Better for the United Nations, New York, UNAI 2015 Symposium and UNTV.
As the Australian Managing Director and Global Head of Production, Komixx Entertainment (best known for the Kids’ Choice and People’s Choice Award winning Netflix franchise The Kissing Booth ), Amanda has worked across iGeneration Studios and Komixx shows internationally. Recently Amanda served on the Screen Producers Australia, 2023 Screen Forever Program Advisory Board.
