Matthew Carter is Managing Partner of Above The Line Accounting, a Chartered Accounting firm specialising in the Media and Entertainment industry. Above The Line Accounting works almost exclusively with producers and production companies and specialises in the QAPE calculation for the Producer Offset.

Matthew is an experienced Chartered Accountant with 30 years Chartered and commercial experience. His background is working for Big 4 firms KPMG and Deloitte in business services and audit.

Matthew is passionate about the creative industries and has a Masters in Producing and a Graduate Diploma in Screen Business from the Australian Film, Television & Radio School (AFTRS).
He has been Executive and Associate producer on several feature films and TV series and has produced over twenty short films. As such, he has a deep understanding of the creative journey that producers and production companies go on.

Matthew has worked on over two hundred productions as Production Accountant, Post-Production accountant and QAPE Accountant, with projects including feature films, television series, web and virtual reality series.
