Biography
John Godfrey worked for 10 years in UK, series/exec producing for Channel 4/BBC2. He has been in Australia 17 years, was Head of SBS Documentaries and is now Head of SBS Unscripted, overseeing documentaries, factual entertainment, food and entertainment. He has been responsible for some of SBS’s highest rating and best-known shows including Go Back To Where You Came From, First Contact, Struggle Street, and Filthy Rich And Homeless.
What we're looking for from Ready, Steady, Pitch!
In factual SBS Unscripted is looking for single docs, series, noisy, high risk shows, warm-hearted shows, and one-off stunts. And in factual entertainment/entertainment – we're looking for low cost/potential long run formats (also ones which could work on our Indigenous channel NITV too). Everything SBS commissions must reflect our Charter.
