Biography
Vonne Patiag is a multiple AACTA, AWGIE, Logie and SPA Award-nominated Writer, Director, Producer and Actor based in Western Sydney. He is a founding Director of In-Between Pictures, a Production Company producing intersectional stories with global appeal.

His recent credits include writing and producing the 4-part series 'The Unusual Suspects' for SBS, the feature anthology film 'Here Out West', released theatrically in early 2022, and writing on 'Significant Others', a 6-part drama for ABC. In 2019 he created and show-ran the online comedy series ‘Halal Gurls’ for ABC which received exponential engagement online, culminating in 1 Million + views for the whole series.

His shorts films have screened in numerous Domestic and International Festivals. Most recently 'Too Many Ethnics' had its World Premiere at Flickerfest 2023 and ‘Tomgirl’ premiered on SBS Viceland as part of the 40th Anniversary of Mardi Gras celebrations in 2018, and had its International Premiere at Palm Springs Shortsfest 2019. ‘Tomgirl’ is currently being adapted into a feature, has received Development Funding from Screen Australia, and been invited to participate in the TIFF Filmmaker Lab 2021 and the Inside Out Film Finance Forum 2021.

Vonne’s latest feature, ‘Adjustments’ was just announced as the recipient of the Short To Feature Initiative with Screen NSW. He has been profiled as a SPA Ones To Watch, an ADG Ones to Watch, and participated in Talent USA, a Screen Australia funded program supporting Australian creatives breaking into the US Market. His TV series, ‘Boy (Space) Friends’ also received Development and proof-of-concept Production Funding through Hot Shots Plus from Screen Australia in 2017. He also writes and performs for theatre, and he made his Mainstage debut with his one-man show 'The Life Cycle of Blanco' presented in March 2023 by the National Theatre of Parramatta and Sydney World Pride.
