SPADA represents the interests of producers and production companies on all issues that affect the commercial and creative aspects of independent screen production in New Zealand. As part of SPADA’s work it regularly engages with external stake holders such as the funding agencies, broadcasters, other screen industry organisations and government ministers and officials. SPADA produces the annual SPADA Conference and SPADA Screen Industry Awards, as well as masterclasses, workshops, and training initiative to help support the advancement and upskilling of producers.
