RubyRock Pictures is a high-end scripted production company led by Zoë Rocha. With a strong track record as an independent producer and ambition to create unorthodox, bold content for global audiences – RubyRock’s slate includes the BFI Young Audience Content Fund backed “Heartless”, written by Lucie Barât (“Spotless”) and executive produced by her brother, co-frontman of The Libertines Carl Barât, “Miss Hardy” from Caleb Ranson (“Around the World in Eighty Days”) – a co-production with Beta Films that stars Leighton Meester, Kate Mulgrew and Kelsey Grammar, and female-led horror anthology “Her Horror” for Shudder/AMC which is due to shoot later this year.

RubyRock Pictures is on the hunt for TV drama or thrillers with an edge - universal stories that have scope to travel with a focus on character. We tend to be interested in female led - though not exclusively - and we’re open to grounded, high-concept genre (no spaceships please!). In terms of Australian co-production we’re on the hunt for those shows that manage to either geographically, or in terms of story, have an organically international feel and transcend their locales.
