Biography
Joe is currently working full time for Northern Pictures in scripted development and as a producer. Joe studied producing at AFTRS. In 2003 she was nominated for an Academy Award for the live action short film INJA. Joe was the series producer on the Logie winning, half hour comedy series, HOUSOS series 1 and 2, as well as SWIFT AND SHIFT COURIERS series 2 starring Amanda Keller and Ian Turpie, BOGAN HUNTERS for 7Mate, Pizza Series 5. She produced the comedy feature films HOUSOS VS AUTHORITY, FAT PIZZA VS HOUSOS, and DUMB CRIMINALS – THE MOVIE by Paul Fenech all distributed by Transmission Films. Joe produced the feature film KILLING GROUND directed by Damien Power which screened at Sundance Film Festival 2017 to rave reviews and the feature documentary THE GO-BETWEENS: RIGHT HERE directed by Kriv Stenders. Joe was the series producer on “Hardball” for ABC me which won an Emmy Award and 'Hardball Series 2'.

Northern Pictures Scripted is genre agnostic when it comes to projects we seek to develop. As a rule we are drawn to projects we connect with, that ignite a spark we will champion for as long as it takes. As genuine partners in the collaborative process, who the creative team are is also a key factor in the projects we choose. With a number of projects already in development in the comedy and kids space, we are now specifically looking for high concept one hour projects. This could include sci fi, mystery, crime or fantasy. Regardless of genre, what the creators have to say about the world in which we live is important to us.
