Biography
Dana Youngman is the network executive/senior commissioner for Sky Originals NZ at Sky Television New Zealand. Dana is responsible for managing locally commissioned entertainment content for Sky-owned-and-operated pay channels, free-to-air platform Prime TV and SVOD service NEON. Dana leads the unscripted original content slate for Sky and in her 3 years at Sky has commissioned several acclaimed programmes, including the 2021 International Emmy award-winning series INSiDE. Prior to her time at Sky, Dana worked for 20 years as a highly respected executive producer, series producer/showrunner and director.
What we're looking for from Ready, Steady, Pitch!
In the unscripted space, we are looking for series and not one off programmes. Occupational observational documentary series are a favourite genre across our platforms, along with Crime content, NZ History series and ‘strike it lucky’ content eg: Storage Wars, Outback opal hunters etc. We are also open to NZ lifestyle content – houses, gardens and some food. Content needs to have a uniquely NZ flavour, which is certainly achievable with Australian companies, such as The Pacific, in the wake of Captain Cook with Sam Neil.
