Biography
Nikolaus started working for Beta Film in 2014 for the Asian markets, straight out of University (Bachelor International Business) and took over Oceania in 2019. Experienced International Sales Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the motion pictures and film industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Sales, Communication, and Film. Strong sales professional with experience working in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Korea and South East Asia. Born in Malaysia, and therefore more than happy to use any excuse to travel there! Most of his free time is spent on the golf course.
What we're looking for from Ready, Steady, Pitch!
The mission statement at Beta currently reads: From Europe, About Europe, For Europe and the World. This is something I am trying to change. Here the goal is to find projects from Australia, about Australia, for the World. Genres: action, thriller, drama, romance, etc. really all genres are welcome except comedy. Doesn’t really travel.
The most important thing is available material: we need scripts, synopsis, financing plan, and usually a commissioning broadcaster. We are first and foremost an international distribution company and would be looking to take things onboard that are further along in their development. We are also a production group so sometimes get on board projects early but that happens far less often.
