Biography
Edward joined Film Constellation soon after its creation in 2016 and was an integral part of its rapid growth. After 3 years managing International Sales & Distribution, where he most notably worked on films by Werner Herzog and David Lynch, he started spearheading Acquisitions, contributing to the launch of several new directorial voices, including Sam Kelly's SAVAGE, now one of the top 15 highest grossing NZ films of all time, and contributing to the launch of Sundance horror-hit RELIC, by Australian director Natalie Erika James.

Before joining Film Constellation, Edward worked in Sales at HanWay Films, where he helped manage a prestigious library of titles, including films by Bernardo Bertolucci, David Cronenberg, and Wim Wenders. Prior to that he held several Development positions for leading UK production companies such as DNA, Wildgaze, and Qwerty Films.

A dual French and British national who grew up near Marseille, Edward currently lives between London and Istanbul.
What we're looking for from Ready, Steady, Pitch!
Generally speaking, we are filmmaker-driven and seek to work with directors who already have an A-class film festival pedigree, even if only at short-film level. 40% of our films since we launched the company have been feature debuts, but this has often been with directors who previously had shorts at Berlin, Sundance, Cannes, or the like. When it comes to dramas, we are leaning more towards cast-driven projects with more established filmmakers (James Marsh's Dance First), unlike with genre, where cast is less important but relies more on the premise, and the filmmaker's proven track-record in the genre space (Natalie Erika James' Relic). We also do 1 to 2 documentaries a year, often with a built-in audience (David Lynch, John McEnroe docs), but are also interested in unique stories with global appeal. In addition, we occasionally seek select projects that can be set up as international co-productions out of our Paris office.
