Sienna Films is one of Canada’s preeminent scripted content companies, producing film and television internationally since 1992. In March 2020, the company was acquired by Sphere Media.

Currently in release is critically acclaimed dramedy Sort Of for CBC and HBO Max, a current GLAAD Award Nominee for Outstanding New TV Series which was named one of TV’s top picks for 2021 in NOW magazine, the Hollywood Reporter, Time Magazine and Vanity Fair. Currently airing on CBC and slated for release this Spring on BET+ is the first season of The Porter, inspired by true events of the 1920s, about the fight to form the first Black labour union in North America.

Sienna Film’s previous television includes four seasons of the International Emmy nominated serialized crime drama Cardinal (Bell Media/Hulu/BBC2/Canal+); three seasons of the hostage negotiation episodic Ransom (Corus/CBS/eOne); Indigenous supernatural YA series Trickster (CBC/CW/Sundance/SkyUK) which premiered to critical acclaim at MIP and TIFF; medical series Combat Hospital (Corus/ABC); and mini-series Diamonds (CBC/ABC).

Sienna Films has also produced quality feature films including One of Ours (CBC/Sundance TV/AMC+), Happy Place (Myriad), Sweetness in the Belly (Hanway, TIFF Special Presentation), How She Move (Paramount, Sundance Official Selection), Touch of Pink (Sony Pictures Classics, Sundance Official Selection), and New Waterford Girl (eOne, Sundance Official Selection).
