Nicholas Weinstock is the founder and president of Invention Studios, an independent creative company developing a wide range of movies and television series for both major American and international platforms.

Weinstock – a former book editor, journalist, communications executive and novelist – is the author of three books and the producer of a diverse array of successful films and shows. He has developed movies including Get Him to the Greek and Bridesmaids; the Showtime limited series Escape at Dannemora, which was nominated for 12 Emmy Awards; the drama series In the Dark, which ran for four seasons on the CW and Netflix; the hit Netflix movies Alex Strangelove and The Package; the critically acclaimed independent films Dinner in America and Plus One; and most recently the Emmy Award-winning Apple+ series Severance, which he continues to executive produce.

Invention is currently developing projects in the U.S., England, France, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Lebanon, New Zealand, Australia, India, Egypt, Nigeria, Benin, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, South Africa, and beyond. The company is also the home of Craft Services, a groundbreaking support system for new screenwriters and writer/directors around the world. An online community and creative incubator for more than 600 emerging writers in more than 20 countries, Craft Services provides a free and unprecedented on-ramp to the global entertainment business regardless of writers’ geography, economics, previous connections or experience.
