Description

Where do producers find the money outside of funding agencies and how can this be leveraged through international creative and production partnerships.

Financing arrangements for Australian screen projects is heavily reliant on agency funding and investment. But high levels of competition, agency funding can only spread so far. What are the alternate models to finance development and production? And how can producers leverage features of the Australian industry, that are very attractive to overseas producers and financiers, to build and create meaning partnerships?

The panellists discussing these issues include Emmy Award-winning US producer Nicholas Weinstock (Get Him to the Greek, Bridesmaids, and Severance), Ashley McLeod (Sweet River), Jac Kerrin (The Last Rifleman, Never Grow Old), Zach Parker (Fulcrum Media Finance), and Shauna Keogh (The Guards, Cora The Greatest).
