With a slew of remakes being produced locally the question for our industry is simple: Are remakes a better bet than originals?

We hear the term "risk averse" and "minimising risk" now more than ever, but how do the stats stack up? How many versions of a series does the world need and what are the longer term implications for our industry if we remake and reinvent versus creating original work.
